Hey Guys! It's been about a month since I last wrote something on the blog page. That's all good though, because I am back and I have some things to talk about( Obviously). Well, It's cool because this year was very challenging for me as some of you may know. I used to constantly think about my sorrows because I was always going through something. I was always worried about some bit of drama and it would escalate in my mind. Well, today I'm thinking about suffering for Christ. I have been thinking about that a lot lately and it occured to me that what do I gotta lose huh? read more »
As we feel the economic crunch, please remember that non-profits have been hit the hardest! We depend strongly on the givings of grants and indivduals to help support what we do.

One of the most amazing things about Christmas is that under the average tree there are many gifts. Some big, some small. And you never know what's in them. But you always know what's yours because they have your name on them. Well that's how I feel about 2009. I don't know what's in store, but I know that God has something with Acts 2's name on the blessings list...and it has me so excited! read more »
For the last five years, on the Monday evening before Thanksgiving Day, a large number of buses and vans from many different churches in the Roanoke Valley have parked in a row beside the First Baptist Church Family Life Center. Seasons Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It has been an amazing year at Acts 2. We continue to see God working, even in the hearts of the hardest kids. Just a few weeks ago we saw hundreds come to the annual Thanksgiving dinner, with many responding to the Gospel message. God continues to open up new opportunities to work with kids, and many week our club meetings have filled the ministry center to capacity. With these blessings there have also been challenges and we see daily evidence that the evil one is active and wants us to fail. We desperately need your continued support and prayers.
If you are a long time supporter of Acts 2, we thank you for your faithfulness. If you are not familiar with Acts 2 we encourage you to call or visit to find our more more our work among the kids of the inner city in Roanoke. And if you can, please consider becoming a financial partner. This has been a tough year, with many ups and downs - but God has been faithful to provide our needs, using His people who are generous and faithful to give, pray, and to volunteer their time and resources for His work.
We pray that God will richly bless you and your family in this season of His birth.
