Hey, guys, it's been awhile since I've been on here. To be honest, there's been a lot going on lately. In my own life, I confess that I've been struggling with spending the time that God would want me to spend with Him. I've been doing so much for Him, that I forgot about Him. I'm pretty sure that you guys know what I'm talking about. Those moments that you are just tired but you think "this is what God wants from me" or " this is for your glory, Lord." Well, I must say that I'm tired of it. The other day I was talking to a good friend of mine and she referred me to Proverbs 3: 1-8 which says: " 1 My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,
2 for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you prosperity.
3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the LORD and shun evil.
8 This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones.
This just spoke so much to me. So many times I think that we, as Christians, fall into this pit of hoping that what we want at that time is maybe what God wants for us. we slack in our praying to him, we even slack in the scripture reading. God has called us to an amazing thing and given us an amazing book to go by. I am encouraged that as long as I truly seek His will, He WILL guide me. Please be encouraged by this as well as you go through life with Christ. Continue to pray as I start each new day with the Creator and as I go to bed, that HIS WILL will be done, and not mine. I mean, hey, I can't make it without Him. I can only imagine that.lol. Thanks and God Bless.
