Hey guys! Today after my fellow staff member and I went to the school to visit the kids, I went to see a lady that wanted to give me a donation.

She had a pair of cool sunglasses that she asked if she could donate. She also wanted to give me some other things like christian books and even colored sand crafts with the kids. I said thanks and then left. While driving, God reminded me that when people give, they should give from their hearts. This lady was doing just that. She was giving what she had. Even though she could make a profit, she was interested in what we were doing with the kids and so she gave from her heart. This reminds me of the scripture of when the pharisees and scribes were giving what they had, but the lady gave ALL she had. Jesus honored what the lady gave more than he did with the scribes and pharisees. This blows me away just because of the fact that sometimes we REALLY recognize the people who give a lot. Fill in the blanks: here's_________ for __________. it is usually something great and we are just amazed at God. A number of times though, we have a hard time recognizing when people give small things, just how important they can be. We also think that what we don't need is good enough to give someone and when we do give it, we may say, "It's all I could give," like it's not good enough or something. Wake up, people!!! The woman also had other items for us and is so happy to give them away. As you read this, I want you to be encouraged that it isn't the fact that you give, it's where your heart is when you do it. This woman wanted to help further the kingdom. This was her way of doing it. What's yours?

Colossians 3:17- " Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
