On Saturday, January 10, 2009, Lee Pusha, Executive Director and seven members of the Board of Directors gathered at the Acts 2 facility for an all-day strategic planning session headed by Dr. Cherie Drew, who holds a Ph.D. in finance and is a Church Financial Administrator.

The Session got underway at 9:00 a.m. with Dr. Drew leading the group on preparing a three-to-five-year strategic plan.  It was determined that the Acts 2 Mission Statement is:  Creating a community of believers that transcends all racial and socio-economic barriers.  The Acts 2 Vision is: Reaching the unreached within our reach. 

At 11:30 a.m. three of the staff members, Gena Kidd, High School Director, Kristen Betts, High School After-School Director, and Kristen Morrison, Middle School Director, joined the group for prayer, followed by lunch.

After devoting much time to assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the ministry, opportunities and challenges were explored, and the day concluded with goal setting and action plans, with numerous tasks and deadlines being undertaken by several individuals.

Dr. Drew, who generously volunteered her time and talents, is going a step further and volunteering one day a week at the Acts 2 center to assist the ministry in seeking and writing grants.  Her amazing gift to this ministry is deeply appreciated.
