To the Partners of Acts 2 Ministry :
The Acts 2 Annual Thanksgiving Dinner was held on November 16th at First Baptist Church. A total of 110 students, volunteers and support staff were served a dinner prepared by the students at Virginia Western Culinary School. The guest speaker for the event was Wanick Fayette.
Wanick began to participate in the ministries of Acts 2 while he was in the third grade. He accepted Christ while attending Kids Across America camp with other Acts 2 students. Upon graduating from high school he was accepted as a student at Liberty University. Through the Acts 2 Scholarship Program we were able to help Wanick with tuition. He graduated last summer and is currently serving as an Associate Pastor in a church in Pennsylvania.
On September 20th, we requested that you pray for the Ministry as we enter into a transition period. We have received an offer to meet at a local church within the city on a temporary basis. However, we need to find a permanent home for the Ministry.
Please continue praying that God will:
- Open a new Ministry Center that we can use to evangelize and inspire the lives of urban youth and their families with Biblical instruction, mentorship and discipleship as exemplified through the life of Christ,
- Move in the hearts for additional volunteers to work with the students,
- Provide staffing needed to support the Ministry, and
- Provide the financial support for the Ministry and future staff.
Join us as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ during this Christmas season.
Thanks for your prayers and for being partners with Acts 2.
In Christ’s Service,
Board of the Acts 2 Ministry
